Fabergé Museum in the Hermitage

SPC has been chosen by the State Hermitage Museum to assist in the establishment of a Fabergé Museum within the ongoing enlargement on Palace Square. In the General Staff Building currently being renovated, the Fabergé Museum will house the Hermitage’s permanent Fabergé collection, a library, and research facilities. It will be the first museum in St. Petersburg dedicated to Carl Fabergé’s works.

Mikhailovsky Gardens Fence Restoration

JT International, under the leadership of its CEO, Pierre De Labouchere, chose SPC to undertake the second phase of the Mikhailovsky Gardens wrought-iron fence restoration. In addition to maintaining the sixteen-foot-high Fabergé-style panels, SPC has restored the magnificent double-paneled gates that face the Church of the Spilled Blood.

St. Petersburg,1993-2003: The Dynamic Decade (2010)

Mikhailovsky Fence, Phase 3 (2009)

Russian Easter (2005). A celebration at the Russian Chancery highlighted by a Fabergé exhibition and performances by Van Cliburn and the Washington Cathedral Choral Society.

Nordic Young Jewelers Competition (2005, Lahti Finland). The fifth biennial competition, first held in St. Petersburg in 1996 by the Fabergé Arts Foundation (FAF) to commemorate Fabergé’s 150th anniversary.

Faberge Flowers Book Cover“Fabergé Flowers” (2004). A book published by Harry N. Abrams, and edited by Joyce Lasky Reed and Marilyn P. Swezey.

The Fabergé Menagerie (2003-2004). An exhibition of Fabergé’s carved stone animals originating in the Walters Museum and traveling to the Columbus Museum of Art and the Portland Art Museum.

New Uses for Old Buildings: A Russian-American Workshop on Historic Preservation (2001). In cooperation with the New York Landmarks Conservancy, sponsored a conference on the adaptive reuse of historic buildings and produced a transcript of the meeting with photos.

Women in the Arts and Business Exchange (2000). Six dynamic architects from this affiliate organization traveled to the United States for an 18-day exchange.

Great Fabergé in the Hermitage (1997-2000). Rotating exhibition at the State Hermitage Museum.

Easter and Old Russia (1998). Exhibition of 18th and 19th century porcelain imperial Easter eggs and icons, at the Russian Embassy, Washington, DC.

The St. Petersburg Conservancy is dedicated to the conservation of St. Petersburg’s cultural heritage and to the promotion of the artistic legacy of Carl Fabergé.
